Since its establishment through an Act of Congress in 1964, the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) proudly honors, celebrates, and shares the vision, innovation, skill, and bravery of the national heroes who have contributed to our nation’s aerospace legacy. With 263 premier air and space pioneers enshrined, the NAHF remains committed to preserving and promoting its enduring legacy. The NAHF’s Heritage Hall and Education Center (HHEC), nestled in the “Birthplace of Aviation,” Dayton, Ohio, welcomes nearly 400,000 visitors annually to celebrate our Enshrinees, their achievements, and their profound impact on the evolution of aviation, from early flight to space exploration. Recent enhancements to the HHEC include the addition of an interactive theater and the Joe Clark Innovation Lab. Our commitment to accessible aviation and aerospace education led to the development of Discovering Flight: Learning with the NAHF, a comprehensive education program for grades PreK-6, in partnership with ThinkTV/PBS.
