Sparked the love for aviation: My Father. When I was young, my dad used to drive us to the airport in Lima, OH (a small local airport). He would park along the side, and we would watch the planes take off and land. I always like the power of a plane engine when taking off, especially the jet.
Heard about the NAHF: A couple of my friends (one was a volunteer at the NAHF, the other was in my garden club). They told me that the NAHF needed volunters. All that I had to offer was my love of the power of flight. I took a volunteer job every Wednesday from 1:00-5:00pm. That was 12 years ago!
