H. Ross Perot, Jr.


  • Completed the first around-the-world helicopter trip with co-pilot Jay Coburn in 29 days, 3 hours, and 8 minutes. Perot Jr. won the Smithsonian Institution’s Langley Gold Medal, and President Ronald Reagan presented him with the Gold Medal Award for Extraordinary Service for this flight. 
  • Set several speed records in a Gulfstream G650ER.
  • Served as a United States Air Force fighter pilot for eight years, flying F-4 Phantoms.
  • Served as a chair of the Air Force Memorial Foundation, leading a 14-year effort to build the United States Air Force Memorial in Washington, D.C. The memorial was dedicated in October 2006.
  • Real estate developer and Chairman of Hillwood and the Perot Group; one of his many projects was founding and developing the Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, the United States’ first purely industrial airport, designed for business, cargo, and logistics aviation rather than commercial aviation.
  • Heavily involved with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, serving as a board member since 2020, Vice Chair, and, in 2025, Chair of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
  • Served on a large variety of different boards, including the American Enterprise Institute, and has served as Board Member Emeritus for organizations such as Vanderbilt University and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
