Reuben Hollis Fleet

• Organized the first air mail service in May, 1918 from Washington DC to New York City.
• Formed Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in 1923, producing primarily trainers and observation planes.
• Built the XPY-1 for the Navy and the Commodore for passenger service to South America.
• Created the famous PBY Catalina series in 1935, the most successful flying boat, and the PB2Y Coronado series flying boats.
