Program Readiness & Participation Criteria
The National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) is committed to providing inclusive and enriching educational experiences that inspire the next generation of aviation and aerospace leaders. To ensure a safe and successful program for all participants, the following Program Readiness & Participation Criteria (PRPC) outline the essential requirements for attending a NAHF program.

All participants must be able to meet the following expectations, with or without reasonable accommodations:

Attend each day with curiosity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to engage in new experiences and challenges.

Participate independently and collaboratively on projects, including set-up and clean-up, while treating materials and equipment with care.

Function in stimulating environments that may include sounds, lights, movement, magnets, and active interactions with peers and facilitators.

Follow instructions and safety guidelines in individual and group settings, often without one-on-one assistance.

Demonstrate age-appropriate behavior and self-regulation, respond to changes in routine, and follow direction from program staff.

Communicate needs clearly, including reporting injuries or requesting assistance.

Refrain from physical or verbal aggression, unsafe behavior, or actions disruptive to others or themselves.

Manage basic self-care independently, including hygiene, toileting, eating, hydration, and movement throughout the facility.

Program Code of Conduct

Respect program staff, fellow participants, and all learning spaces.

Follow instructions and participate fully without disrupting others.

Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.

Refrain from using cell phones during program hours unless instructed otherwise.

Absolutely no bullying, teasing, fighting, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate content or conduct will be tolerated.

Incident Response & Behavior Protocols

Staff (Flight Crew Members) will respond calmly and directly to any behavioral concerns or incidents.

When needed, staff will gather information and complete an Incident Report. Names of other involved minors will be redacted for privacy.

Physical restraint will only be used in crisis situations to ensure safety.

Parents/guardians will be notified of incidents and may receive written reports.

Participants involved in recurring or serious behavior issues may be removed from the program. No refunds will be issued.

Parents/guardians may not address concerns directly with other children or families. Please bring any concerns to NAHF staff.
