A. Scott Crossfield/NACA D-558-2 #2 “SkyRocket”

1983 Enshrinee Scott Crossfield was among the first of the jet and rocket test pilots. On Nov. 20, 1953, he became the first man to reach Mach Two this Douglas “Skyrocket,” which is on display at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.
